The New Mercedes CLS

Mercedes CLS will appear in early October under the Paris Motor Show and a new series of informal photos of the second generation of German model appeared on the Internet. This time new CLS pictures are much clearer. Broad lines were retained from the old generation, and the Germans have applied the new design philosophy. The result is impressive. Mercedes CLS looks more aggressive and in the same time inspires sporty and elegance.

In front you can see some elements taken from the SLS AMG. Redesigned grille with smoother bonnet lines, adjacent to the new optical blocks gives to the future CFA an aggressive silhouette. Germans have not forgotten about the inside of the four-door Coup also. They installed a center console similar to the new E-Class and S-Class.

Regarding the engines, Mercedes promises to start with the 3.5-liter V6 that produces 306 horsepower and 4.7 liter V8 unit capable of developing 435 horses. Later we can assist to another version of a V8 AMG 5.5-liter twin-turbo, which produces 544 horsepower. Also, four-cylinder engine with 204 horses and 250 CDI unit will also be present in the new CLS.

The second generation of Mercedes-Benz CLS is ready for its debut in Paris. This time, the model has serious competition in the segment, but its creators are not worried at all.

The Germans from Mercedes Benz revealed some images of the new CLS model, which will debut at the Paris Motor Show this autumn. CFA reached to the second generation and its creators say the new model has a more athletic character and a cat silhouette. The Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced the details of the CLS engines, but presented some news regarding this model. One of the innovative elements could be the new set of LED position, which includes 71 LEDs and provides greater visibility compared to previous systems of this kind.

In terms of design, the new CLS reminds us about SLS AMG’s supercar, the radiator grille being dominated by Mercedes-Benz logo, and this emphasizes the relationship of this model with other coupe model made by German car manufacturer. On the interior, board represents a cockpit that envelops the driver and shows all the information they need to know for drive. The top of the dashboard is wrapped in a satin material finish and the whole interior is “crushed” with leather and wood. Optionally, the Mercedes-Benz offers carbon fiber trim and wood finished in a glossy black color.

“Customers worldwide have benefited from our movement to launch a bold new concept vehicle on the market. With its special design, the new CLS benefits from the fact that we have a generation before the competition in this segment,” said Joachim Schmidt, head of sales and marketing department from Mercedes-Benz.

Carbuyers Guide To The Ford Falcon GLi EF – EL

When the ford falcon was released the EF engine brought big boost in power and reduced engine coarseness. New electric cooling fans and hydraulic engine mounts were critical and must be in good shape.

Battery box is critical to long battery life. Some had piston slap from new at idle but rattly lifters that stay rattly with revs can suggest worn camshaft or missed oil changes. A batch of cylinder head studs failed and generated head gasket failure on certain EL models. Hard working radiator, coolant hoses and belt require pre-emptive replacement.

Outstanding body corrosion warranty meant few rust problems but odd surface rust shows up in door panels. Early black exterior trim faded or lifted. Driver’s door will sag. Unbreakable polycarbonate headlights were a first and can now be crazed or yellow with age but can be buffed-up. They will also need an upgrade for rural use.

Faded amber globes in EF rear indicators can blind other drivers. Boot strut bracket welds fail and damage rear seat belt webbing. Correct tow bar for heavy towing must be fitted otherwise body can stretch beyond repair. Early “dancing” door locks should now be fixed. Driver’s seat sags with age but separate covers are removed for cheap cloth and padding replacement.Size and weight will wear out front and rear shockers in 50,000 km but cheap to replace. Tyres last about the same but front end adjustment kit may be required if front tyres are scrubbing. Brake pads last around 20,000 kms with new rotors every fourth pad change.

Even a slight quality lift in tyres, shocks and brake pads will transform any example. Soft rear springs sag under heavy loads and could need upgrading for towing or long distance touring. Ball joints and key suspension bushes require regular inspection and replacement.Standard security once an industry benchmark is now easily beaten. A good EF-EL is an absolute certainty for a theft attempt so patch in additional security unique to your car. One of the riskiest used purchases for recycled stolen examples. A Ford expert or dealer may be best equipped to pick up inconsistencies during a pre-purchase inspection

3 Things To Avoid To Get The Best Price On Your Next New Car Purchase

Everyday people search on the internet to get information. They type words that describe what they are searching for into search engines like google. They have a number of motivations. These motivations may be place into one of two groups; pleasure seeking or pain avoidance. Pleasure seeking is positive, trying to find something they need. Pain avoidance is negative, seeking to avoid what they don’t want.

When any web surfer searches for Information on getting the best offer on a new car, they may have either positive or negative motivations. Here in this article we’ll deal just with those on the negative or pain-avoidance motivation side. We will be considering three of the actions or errors that such a person wants most to avoid.

To recognize the overall circumstances in this, you will want to know That each dealership is willing to sell you a new car at a lower price then you can certainly imagine..

It might be also useful to know a few of the specifics. By way of example, you need to comprehend we are currently in a recession, and they can do anything to sell a new car..

What are we going to avoid? And, why avoid that?

Once you know you have to deal with a money hungry sales agent, then clearly you need to understand the tactics that they are going use to extract the maximum amount of money as possible out of your pocket..

So, with that background and analysis, let us discuss the 3 points you must carefully avoid:

To start with, You must never obtain a new car at the time on the initial demo drive.. The reasoning behind this is purely emotion. On the day of the initial demo drive, you’re emotionally attached to the vehicle (It’s human instinct), so when you acquire with emotion you lose and the dealership wins..

What amount of avoidance is needed? Well, if you’d like the best possible Car Negotiation outcome, you shouldn’t buy on the same day…NO EXCEPTIONS!.

Second, Do not discuss a payment with the sales representative, say to them that you are only enthusiastic about negotiating the cost.. And, tell me, just why’s that? After they “Close You” with a payment, you have no idea what the price is. Should you tell them you can’t go any higher then $400 monthly, they got you. $400 30 over three years is different then $400 per month over 84 months…but, it’s still $400 a month, Right?.

And just how will get them to negotiate price, and not payment? Easy, threaten to depart…or do leave, then they will negotiate price with you..

Third and lastly, Don’t let them know you are trading your vehicle in before price is negotiated. The reason for that is because if they know that you are trading a car, they may “gauge” you on that end. They’ll allow you to think you are getting an excellent price, and steal your trade.

And in what way can we know when this is being avoided sufficiently?

If you notice the salesperson huffing and puffing, and constantly going back to his manager for advice, you will know you have successfully avoided these three topics. There are numerous more techniques that need to be used to get the best achievable price on your next new car purchase, however, these three are a great start. .
