Daniel Millions asked:

Did you know that many of the car manufactures are based not in the United States but rather in Europe? Prestiges car brands such as Bentley, Lamborghini and BMW all come from European countries. When cars first began to be made in the late eighteenth century, they were predominantly created in the U.S. As time went by many cars began coming out of Europe and today the European car brands dominate the entire car/truck market.

This is because European cars are superior to cars made in other parts of the world say many. Style, design and function of European cars far exceed other car models. That is why so many people are will to spend extra money to have a European car imported to their country. In terms of pop culture, European cars have been given a level of mystique which pushes the population to a point of wanting them over other brands. It’s not uncommon to see European cars used for racing and luxury vehicles in television and movies. This article will provide some information of some well known European cars in addition to listing other lesser known models.

Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz started Mercedes-Benz in 1880. Since then, this car brand has produced some of the best and fastest vans, luxury cars, buses, SUV’s, and trucks that have ever been made in the world. The Mercedes-Benz has become synonymous with wealth, class and social status. For this reason many replica cars have been designed throughout the years to resemble the Mercedes-Benz. In America many musicians and stars get a Mercedes-Benz as a way of telling others that they have made it in terms of success. The same goes for professionals such as doctors and lawyers.

Audi is Germany’s oldest-automobile manufacturer with over one hundred years in the business. They were also the first German car company to produce left hand drive cars. Today, left hand drive cars are commonly made by European car companies. Often cars are strictly made left hand drive by manufactures. This innovation alone has established Audi as a premier European car brand.

For the people who have the money and like speed, having a Porsche is the way to go. Often this car is associated with men going through a mid-life crisis because of its speed and cost. However not everyone who buys a Porsche is shallow with something to prove. What’s rarely discussed about the Porsche is its quality and endurance. New Porsche models can cost well over $80,000 while speeds average out at around the 190 mph mark. It is estimated that there are over one million Porsche’s on the road today.

Volvo is a Latin word which means “I roll. This eighty year old car company has been “rolling” out Volvo’s in the form of cars, trucks and construction equipment at a steady pace. In 2001, Volvo acquired Renault Trucks and the Mack Trucks companies and the Japanese truck manufacturer Nissan Diesel in 2007.

European Car Brands

Alfa Romeo/ Aston Martin/ Audi/ Austin/ Autobianchi/ Bentley/ BMW/ Bugatti/ Citroen/ Dacia/ DAF/ Daimler/ Donkervoort/ Ferrari/ Fiat/ Innocenti/ Jaguar/ Jensen/ Lada/ Lamborghini/ Lancia/ Land Rover/ Ligier/ Lotus/ Maserati/ Maybach/ Mercedes-Benz/ MG/ Mini/ Morris/ Opel/ Peugeot/ Porsche/ Renault/ Rolls-Royce/ Rover/ Saab/ Seat/ Skoda/ Smart/ Triumph/ TVR/ UMM/ Vauxhall/ Volkswagen/ Volvo

Phoenix Delray asked:

Most everyday Joes go to car shows to ogle over cars that not only are roped off but are also way, way, way out of their price range. For those of us who can afford to drop hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single vehicle, luxury car shows offer everything the boy who has everything already could want, and a whole lot more. There are several car makers and automobile manufacturers that are regular powerhouses at these car shows, and no matter what walk of life the car show visitors come from, they all know the powerhouse names.

The first powerhouse name in car shows is DaimlerChrysler. Their current luxury car that reaps high end orders is the Maybach 62 S. The car is valued at more than one million bucks, and in car shows across the world, there seems to always be at least a few orders for one. Many loyal owners and fans of the Maybach want another one after they see the newest model at car shows. The Maybach 62 S is the fourth model to join the Maybach family of luxury sedans.

Everyone knows the name Porsche, and Porsche is always a luxury show that wins big at car shows. Porsche always brings many different models to car shows, and most all of the models are usually sold in the first few days. Porsche sales are always very high at car shows, with many orders from all different countries pouring in after a show.

The most expensive Porsche has sold during car shows for almost $300,000, which was a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Other big boy names at car shows are Ferrari and Maserati. Last year at a car show, a Ferrari F430 was sold for more than a quarter million dollars with standard equipment, and a Maserati Quattroporte GT was ordered for almost as much. Car shows like these are certainly not for the weak of heart or the weak of wallet, though they are a lot of fun to attend any time. These big sales, along with many big sales, were made at car shows in China. Buyers in other countries dont use car shows as purchase avenues like buyers in China do, so whenever car shows happen in China, the big boys as well as the little guys go all out to make their presence there.

Matthew C. Keegan asked:

One of the largest auto shows in America will be kicking off this year on November 21st, a spectacle that will draw hundreds of thousands of visitors over its ten day run. Just before the show starts, I’ll have the privilege of attending the Press Days, a two day news extravaganza that’ll feature some of the hottest new cars and concept vehicles.

This year’s show is being tempered somewhat by the withdrawal of ailing General Motors whose many car lines will still be in appearance at the show, but without the benefit of accompanying news conferences. It is these news conferences which help members of the press craft their work, leading to interviews, photo shoots, and follow up work that benefits the car makers, journalists, and driving public alike.

Despite GM’s exit, quite a few exciting vehicles will be on display including the Infiniti G37 convertible, 2010 Ford Mustang, 2010 Lexus RX, 2009 Nissan 370Z, and the Bentley Azure among other models.

The press will be treated to a talk from auto industry icon, Carlos Ghosn, who is the President and CEO of both Nissan Motor Co. and Renault S.A. Ghosn’s keynote address will likely cover many of the challenges facing the industry which is going through a historic shift that will reshape the industry forever.

Following Ghosn’s speech, a number of twenty minute news conferences will be held beginning with Nissan followed by BMW/MINI, Volkswagen, Honda, Ford, Mazda, Porsche, Lexus, Hyundai, Audi, Infiniti, Lamborghini, Bentley, and Mercedes-Benz. The following day the press will learn about the “Green Car of the Year” award winner and have the opportunity to drive several green cars being made available to members of the press.

After the car of the year award has been announced, news conferences from Smart, Kia, Maserati, Ferrari, Lotus and Spyker will be held. The show will conclude with the announcement of a Design Challenge Award and the Faurecia news conference.

So, if you find yourself in the Los Angeles area the last ten days of this month, why not check out the auto show being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center? There will be a lot to see and news being made before your very eyes!

Anthony Fontanelle asked:

This year’s auto season delivered exotic spices to produce a luscious feast in the automotive industry. The banquet is a replica of one strong message – TRANSITION.

Getting more powerful

The Toyota Motor Corp.’s Scion brand unleashed more powerful product lines not by featuring the EBC Greenstuff but through more potent engines. The brand launched the second-generation xB at the Chicago Auto Show. The car is made to be boxy cool, compact and high-performing as compared to its ancestor. The secret spice? The 2.4-liter engine that replaced the previous 1.5-liter unit.

Would the alterations spoil Scion’s success? Steve Haag, the Scion corporate manager, said no. “The all-new xB was designed with the help of our passionate owner body. No other automotive company listens to their customers like we do. Our xB owners wanted a larger vehicle with a more powerful engine,” he declares.

The Japanese automaker also replaced the xA hatchback with the new xD, also slightly larger and more powerful than its predecessor with a 1.8-liter engine. All Scion models for 2008 received the new Scion family front design which has been described by Haag as a “menacing horizontal combination of headlights and grille.”

Additionally, standard equipment and safety features have been expanded, and the list of available accessories is even longer than before. What does not change, said Haag, is “a strategy to keep our models surprising, versatile, exclusive and personalization-friendly.”

Rear-wheel drive spice

When Hyundai announced its plan to set forth a rear-wheel drive revolution, few took it seriously. But not until the Genesis Concept was introduced at the much-concluded New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). Genesis, the midsize, rear-wheel drive sedan, is a disguised prototype for an upcoming model. The vehicle is designed to compete with the Infiniti G-series, Lexus IS and even the GS models.

“Genesis will allow us to speak to driving enthusiasts and showcase our engineering,” Johnson said. “Until Genesis, Hyundai had never had a car on the cover of Motor Trend,” said Hyundai Motor America spokesman Miles Johnson.

Johnson added that the Genesis marketing strategy will give Hyundai something that Toyota and Honda franchises do not offer: a rear-wheel drive luxury/sport model. He pointed out, though, that the Genesis marks an expansion rather than sea change for the brand. “We’re not walking away from Accent and Elantra,” he said. The Genesis will showcase the automaker’s new 300-plus horsepower V-8 and also offer a V-6 model priced under $30,000.

Kia and its Soul

Kia, the Korean automaker, introduced its Soul Concept, a small crossover utility vehicle. Kia Motors America Marketing VP Ian Beavis described the Soul as a “halo model,” a term not usually connected with low-priced vehicles. Halo, in this sense, means the Soul conveys the essence of the brand in a volume model.

Conceding the present product lines of the automaker have rather blend-in styling, Beavis said that the Soul kicks off a new era in expressive design for Kia while maintaining the brand’s value story. The boxy Soul, powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, enters the market dominated by the Scion xB, Chevrolet HHR and the Honda Element. The production version of the Soul is due for 2008.

Asked how the Soul fits the brand’s “Exciting and Enabling” credo, Beavis said, “Exciting doesn’t necessarily mean the biggest engine on the block.” The value, he added, will enable buyers to enjoy their lifestyles with this vehicle.

All-new Mercedes C-Class Mirrors Dealers Whims

Robert Allan, the product manager for the third-generation 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class which is due this summer, said that this car reflects far more input from Mercedes dealers than any of its predecessors did.

The all-new 2008 C-Class will offer a separate Sport model series, clearly delineated by design, feature content, and handling performance. The 2008 C-Class Sport models wear the brand’s ‘coupe’ front end styling, which flaunts a simpler grille with big star emblem in place of the C-Class Luxury models’ conventional Mercedes grille and hood ornament.

The differences from its predecessor are more than skin deep. Allan noted that the Sport models get special suspension tuning and wheels, AMG exterior styling and unique interiors. Meanwhile, dealers asked and received expanded standard equipment, simplified ordering and option packages, and the 4MATIC option on both the C300 Sport and Luxury models.

Audi’s True Coupe

Audi has not marketed a coupe in the United States since after the 1991 model year, so the A5 coming for 2008 etch a remarkable change in strategy for the brand. The company spokesman Chris Bokich said that the A5 coupe, while sharing mechanical elements with other Audi models, is a separate model series, not a variation on another body style as its previous coupes had been. The A5 also exudes the automaker’s vehicle construction flexibility.

“The A5 is indicative of what is to come on future Audi models, both in terms of extroverted exterior and interior design, as well as technically regarding the modular-structure technology,” said Bokich. “We have moved away from platforms and are now mixing and matching skeletal underbody components that can efficiently produce vehicles of differing length, width, and height.”

Linking the Past to the Future

Maserati gets back to its roots with the 2008 GranTurismo coupe. Though the previous Maserati coupe evoked a few classic brand design elements, the new GranTurismo pulls more attributes from the rich and varied heritage of the automaker for inspiration. The grille is pure 1950s-era Maserati racecar, and the long-hood proportions evoke the legendary Maserati front-engine GT coupes of the 1950s and 1960s.

“The GranTurismo is a true Maserati at first glance. It has already garnered global admiration and we are proud to now bring it to North America,” said James Selwa, the President and CEO of Maserati North America. The new model also builds on a successful brand strategy. “Maserati has become a competitive, credible choice in the $100,000 plus range, no small feat given the strong field of competitors in our segment,” Selwa added.

What the future brings

Infiniti also flaunted a concept vehicle at the New York Auto Show – the EX. The company spokesman Kyle Bazemore said that the EX Concept is “about 85 percent” true to the production EX35 model due late this year.

Smaller than the current FX crossover utility vehicle, the EX does not replace it. Bazemore expects the EX’s coupe-like styling to attract new customers to the brand. The EX35 rivals the BMW X3 and the Acura RDX. Cutting-edge technologies introduced include the Around View Monitor (AVM) camera system that reduces blind spots, and the Lane Departure Warning System. Infiniti will introduce another world technology first at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Cynthia Rowland asked:

If your face has stopped you from looking in the mirror because you cannot fathom how in the world your face could droop and sag in so many directions; just know that you are not alone.

After all aging happens and if you don’t see apparent signs that your ****** features, your arms and hips are sliding south by age 35, you are very fortunate that your parents and grandparents gifted you with youthful genes.

For those of us who have discovered droopy eyelids, sagging cheeks and the dreaded wattle, there is hope that easily surpasses the “mainstream, quick-fix, big bucks solutions for a youthful face.”

Temporary, paralyzing and plumping, toxin-laden injections produce a weird, freakish, unnatural contour to faces; they cost a lot of money and do nothing to promote good health or make a face look younger.

The truth is hard to hear: using made-made substances that claim to prop up sagging skin will not last. Oh sure, you will initially see a difference but the reality is this: injections, like surgeries, must be consistently repeated and refreshed ala Joan Rivers. Now Joanie has pretty deep pockets and can easily afford to keep her plastic surgeon driving a Maserati in Marbella; but, can you?

Economic considerations aside – relying on frivolous, risky modalities means you give away your power; where is your commitment to a healthy mind, body and soul? Tied to the end of a syringe or a scalpel?

Are you willing to become the gerbil on the wheel, a slave to temporary measures that may corrupt your long-term good health and deplete your savings?

How many injections, surgeries, lipo-suctions and treatments can your body handle without rebelling? New reports suggest that aggressive and invasive anti-aging procedures actually speed-up aging so be advised that prolonged use of injections and more may not produce the desired effects.

Consider celebrities who readily invest money in the best of everything – homes, vacations, travel, and luxury de jour – have by choice chosen plastic surgery, injections and loads of treatment just hoping to further enhance their appearance, career, and bankability. Without naming names, we have seen results that surely weren’t anticipated.

Oversized lips, ghastly raised eyebrows, inflated cheeks, splayed mouths, flat cheeks, the wind-tunnel, surprised look coupled with harsh laser treatments that guarantee any face could easily resemble the Bride of Frankenstein are frequently seen in the hottest spots like the Ivy and Nobu, in gossip magazines and celebrity blogs. If celebrities who can afford the finest of everything end up with freakish looking faces, what will you get?

You can easily recession-proof your face and look younger than your years if you are willing to try an all-natural alternative like ****** exercise.

Exercise changes everything. Just as torsos, arms, legs, hips, buttocks and thighs slim and tighten with regular exercise; ****** exercise can tighten and lift the sagging ****** features that make a face look tired and old.

Rather than spending several thousand dollars on temporary fixes invest in a ****** exercise program to manage your sagging cheeks and eyebrows, double chins, lined foreheads and more.

Don’t be fooled thinking all ****** exercise programs are the same. ****** exercise that employs resistance and isometric movements go far beyond contortions, twitches and scrunches to insure that your face will lift, tighten and contour.

Once you learn the simple movements, you are highly unlikely to darken the doctor’s door holding a syringe filled with chemicals because your forehead will tighten, your eyes will lift, your cheeks will not sag and you will look like yourself again only years younger.

Facial exercise requires only minutes a day to complete a routine. Your thumbs and fingers clothed in white cotton gloves accurately target those small sagging underlying muscles. Those muscles will feel alive again in just seconds as oxygenated blood that distributes nutrients to our cells courses through the tissues.

Not only will ****** exercise restore the muscle tone in your face and neck, your confidence will soar. You can dance all the way to the bank because your clever new beauty regime didn’t cost you a bundle and you feel alive and well knowing that no foreign or toxic substance was injected into your body.

Imagine, a younger looking face without the danger, risk or unpredictability of injections, drugs or surgery using all natural exercise.

One of my clients, Don, kept waffling back and forth over which sized firms he wanted as his clients. For the lack of that focus, his efforts were scattered and outright conflicting with each other.

If you’ve been aware of hearing about the Law of Attraction recently, you’re in step with the latest message about inspiration. For nearly 25 years, I’ve seen it taught in various forms, from ‘mindfulness retreats’ to EST to various Human Potential and Self-Actualization programs. Each program teaches their own frameworks, or those borrowed from the ages, to give us tools to use on a daily basis.

As with anything in life, all the techniques and frameworks are only moderately effective if you don’t KNOW where you’re going. Without a clear Vision and destination in mind you’ll either eventually get lost or it’ll take you a long time to get there, much longer than necessary.

If you’re heading out to drive into new territory and choose to do it without a roadmap, you may spend a lot of your time recognizing you’re lost and looking for road-side assistance, over and over again. It may not make sense to even head out in the first place.

Over the years, it’s been proven out that if you don’t consciously declare what you want, you’ll continually attract what your unconscious mind wants to attract rather than what you say you want.

In business, I see this play out over and over again with participants in my programs. People learn a technique or two that has the potential to double and even triple how much they accomplish in less time. They take on a commitment to using the new practices, and then come back asking for personal tune-ups.

When we take a closer look at what’s going on, they’ve go the technique down pat. They’re often missing the content – what they’re spending their time on has not been prioritized or selected to get them to a specific destination.

It’s a lot like taking a fabulous ride in a Maserati (yes, the techniques are that powerful), on a perfect day with superb road conditions… and then noticing you’ve got no idea where you’re headed, for how long, and why.

All that energy going to waste! So I want to share with you two of the tune-up steps I use with my program participants.

Pick a Focus

Over the years, I’ve seen certain entrepreneurs be completely wishy-washy about what they want. Or they’re wanting it for the reasons that are taking them off course. BIG mistake. Not knowing what you really want creates confusion in both your marketing AND your manifesting.

Here’s what I mean. Say one day you decide that you want to attract a roster of 200 clients, and you set that intention. But the next day, you decide that instead, you’re interested in only 35 private clients and systems to serve another 150 with a second tier of services. That same afternoon, you decide you don’t want ANY private clients, but instead, you want to only deal with groups. (I’ve watched this switching take place over and over with professionals.)

If you’re sitting in a restaurant placing an order and calling the waiter back over and over, to change it again and again, eventually the waiter will tell you “Call me when you know what you want.” And walk away.

The same goes in your business. For the lack of a focused Vision, every new idea pulls you off course. At that moment, all the time management techniques in the world can’t get you to your destination faster or easier.

If you’re aware that what you focus on is what you bring into your reality, whether you refer to it as the Law of Attraction or by any other term, then you’ll recognize that you’re repeatedly sending the wrong message over and over again to the Universe (or your subconscious mind, whichever you prefer).

Bless The Rest

One of the greatest fears I find my clients facing, is “But what about everyone else who could use me?” I know that fear – I struggled with it for 18 months!

When you recognize that people are looking for ‘someone who understands them’ you’ll realize you can accelerate your results by focusing your message and your marketing on them. If other folks show up – serve them if you wish. Open your grip on trying to serve everyone and keep your eye and your message on focus and you’ll find your ideal clients will be clamoring to work with you.

That single focus will guide your product or services design so that they send a consistent message. You’ll be able to keep all your marketing and your service delivery targeted to their specific needs. This in turn will attract what you want, much faster.

Don picked a specific industry, and a target company size for his ideal clients, and 90-days later he’d doubled his active clients. Now it’s your turn!

The China Premium Lifestyle Enterprise recently reported that they have entered into a letter of intent with Wo Kee Hong Group to have the exclusive right to distribute Alfa Romeo vehicles in Hong Kong and Macau. The announcement was made after Wo Kee Hong Group was given the green light to sell Alfa Romeos in Hong Kong and Macau.

The approval came from Alfa Romeo, Turin, Italy and is seen to be the effect of the group’s established good reputation in their distribution of Ferrari and Maserati at the said countries. Both Ferrari and Maserati are also Italian made performance car brands and Alfa Romeo is an additional offering of the group in Hong Kong and Macau.

This partnership is expected to succeed due to the increased demand for performance cars in the Asian region. The introduction of Alfa Romeo to the Hong Kong and Macau auto market is just the beginning of this relationship since there are also plans to bring the famous Italian car to mainland China.

Richard Lee, the Chairman of China Premium, has this to say about their involvement in the sale of Alfa Romeo vehicles: “When, as a group, we were approached by Alfa Romeo’s management to take up this role, we saw an excellent opportunity to complement our exclusive Ferrari and Maserati franchises with another icon of Italy’s motoring heritage. Alfa Romeo is one of the original manufacturers of performance oriented, classic Italian sports cars. A subsidiary of Fiat Auto SpA, Italy’s automotive manufacturing giant, Alfa Romeo has been completely rejuvenated in recent years, with a fresh image and a range of tremendously exciting new models which are of the highest standards ever produced by the company and priced to appeal to a large segment of potential buyers of sporty European automobiles that is rapidly emerging in greater China.”

The group has already started the sale of the world famous brand in Hong Kong in February of this year according to Mr. Lee. As far as their dedication to their partnership with Alfa Romeo and their sales in the region, he had this to say: “The Alfa Romeo range fits perfectly with our strategy to capitalize on the market for mid-priced sports cars, while maintaining our image as a purveyor of exotic high end motor vehicles. In Hong Kong, our state-of-the-art Alfa Romeo dealership and service center was commissioned in February and inaugurated by Alfa Romeo’s CEO, and sales of the new models, particularly the ‘Brera’ two-door coupe and ‘159’ sedan and station wagon have been encouraging. We are excited about the prospects for Alfa Romeo both in Hong Kong and, ultimately, China.”

With this development, the Asian region looks as if it is ready to be a major hub of European cars. The region once dominated by Asian vehicles like Nissan with their Nissan hubcaps is now slowly opening its doors to other car manufacturer as these car makers see the region as potential strong markets for their products.
