Whether you are interested in cars or not, whether you like sports car racing or not even whether you can drive or not, you have probably heard of some of the great Italian sports cars.World renowned brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Alpha Romeo and Maserati. These celebrated Italian sports cars are equally well-known on and off the racing track.

These racing cars are celebrated for their design, their speed and their price. Everyone would love to own one, but most of could not even afford a new set of tyres, leave alone the insurance premium. Despite all that, there is no question about their styling and sex-appeal. They look and even sound just fabulous.

These sports cars are perfect racing cars, but they can also be driven on the roads. Well, they can be driven on good streets. You cannot drive a Ferrari on any old road, because the Ferrari and some of the others like the Lamborghini are very close to the ground.

They are only inches off the ground in order to give them improved aerodynamic properties. Regrettably, this also makes them suffer from loose stones and bad road surfaces.

So, if the road surfaces are poor in your region of the world, you can forget about owning one of these really fast, silky supercars. Maserati do a gorgeous saloon which can be driven on average street surfaces anywhere in the world. It is a very elegant car, but it is more normal looking that the low-slung sports cars.

One of the most beautiful and rare cars is the Enzo Ferrari, named after the company’s creator. It has to be one of Ferrari’s best cars, does it not? It bears the owner’s name, so you would expect only the highest quality. The expertise used to design and produce it are second to none and the chassis is built from carbon-fibre.

Lamborghini is also the result of one man’s dreams. Ferruccio Lamborghini used to make tractors and other equipment such as air conditioners, until he had saved enough money to execute his life-long dreams of making luxury sports cars.

Now the Lamborghini plant in northern Italy makes about 3,000 cars a year of chiefly only two models: the V10 Gallardo roadster and coupe, nicknamed the ‘Baby Lambo’ and the V12 Murcielago roadster and coupe, which is the flagship model.

Previous Lamborghini models comprise the Diablo and the Countach. The Diablo was the fastest production car in 1990 and the Countach was Lamborghini’s most popular car ever.

Maserati was also a family dream. The five Maserati brothers were all working for a racing car company, which closed its racing division down, so the five brothers left and started to make their own racing cars.

These days, Maserati sports cars still look more like race cars, but they are produced to be driven on normal roads.

Bugatti was founded in France, but by an emigre Italian. It has ceased to produce cars on a large scale, but does make occasional, limited edition, super sports cars.

The year 2008 was a big one for Ferrari, as far as what it gave to the world in the Ferrari California. What it gave us was a lot of new features: front-engine V8, retractible hardtop, double-clutch 7-speed transmission. And it was the last to carry a Ferrari classic, the manual gearbox. So the California pushes ahead while looking, or at least glancing, back.

What makes the California a unique car is that it’s a “grand tourer,” meaning it can go fast and look good, and do both for many miles of road. This situation is helped out by the fact that it’s a “2+,” meaning a two-door with a backseat. The driver’s seat is still where everyone wants to be, but if you can’t do that, at least you’ve got more seats available to watch the show.

The California’s name is a nod to one of the great Ferraris of the last century. The 250 GT California came on the scene in the late ’50s and pleased many a mid-century driver. That particular model was made famous in the 1986 John Hughes movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” In that film, the car was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California, one of fewer than a hundred cars built. It was also, if you recall, destroyed in the movie’s climax — but worry not, that was just a replica.

The Ferrari family felt such affinity for this new car that they had to hand down the name. They could’ve called it the Iowa, sure, but what’s sexy about that? So the modern car carries its classic name, and proves what the 21st-century can do. The California runs zero to 60 in just under four seconds, hits a top speed of 193 mph, and has been proven in wind tunnel tests to be Ferrari’s most aerodynamic car to date.

It’s a powerful car, sure, but it’s not a monster like some of Ferrari’s other machines. The California has actually acquired a reputation for being sort of, well, nice. It is a pretty car, but not exotically so. It is a fast car, but may not tear your head off like some others. And, so they’ve said, the car has sort of a big ass.

The Ferrari California lacks for nothing in the way of looks, performance and even backseat space (admittedly we’re stretching the notion of what a backseat is here a little bit). It’s really the car for the roadtrip. For taking the family on a high-speed trip across America. It’s the new station wagon. Okay, maybe not that, but the California really is the kind of car you’d want to spend some time in with the people you love — or lust after.

Back in 2008, the Ferrari California appeared, promising great things to a car-driving world which always seeks novelty. The California boasted, among other things, the first front-engine V8 in Ferrari’s stable, as well as a retractible hardtop and double-clutch 7-speed transmission. At the same time, the California retired the ever-popular manual gearbox, meaning an era has truly come to an end. But the car has a wheel in the future and the past.

The Ferrari California is a “grand tourer,” a car designed not just for speed and handling, but for spending some quality time on the road. What makes it a bit more suitable for the long-haul is that it’s a “2+,” a two-door car with two seats in its backseat. The real magic may be in the driver’s seat, but at least now you’ve got a slightly larger audience to share your joy.

The California inherited its name from another great Ferrari of yore, also one with a bit of a backseat. The 250 GT California appeared in the late 1950s, a sexy mid-century machine. This is the car that played a prominent role in the 1986 John Hughes movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” That car was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California, one of about a hundred built. The car’s death in the climax upset many Ferrari fans, though it was in fact a replica.

None of which is to say that the Ferrari California fails any kind of test, whether in appearance or in how it rides, or even in backseat space (which is, admittedly, a bit limited, but still a backseat). It’s the car you want when you want to go somewhere far away. For that very quick trip cross-country. It’s the new minivan. Or well no, not even a little bit, but the California is indeed a car you’ll want to spend a lot of time in with people whose company you enjoy at high speeds.

Who doesn’t love a Ferrari? It’s almost impossible to miss this on the road. A Ferrari has the ability to bring style and sophistication to car enthusiasts that other car companies cannot. The Ferrari brings character and class like no other vehicle has given.

For the past several decades, the Ferrari has attempted and succeeded in being one of the fastest cars in the world. Even models that have been launched over fifty years ago are still well received by car enthusiasts because of its modern innovation. The Ferrari California is probably just one of the many Ferrari models that will boast of high quality technology.

Ferrari is all about innovation, and including the backseats would only be one of their many developments. Calling a Ferrari the Grand Tourer would probably be more than apt; once you get to drive it, it will be hard to not always invite your friends to go out and just experience the luxurious driving that goes with the Ferrari. It might not be as spacious as some of the other cars in the market, but that’s really the least of your worries.

While there may be some who have been complaining about the lack of space at the back, Ferrari seems unapologetic. Have you ever tried to ride in a car that can take you from zero to sixty in a span of four seconds? That may seem incredulous, but possible with Ferrari’s eight cylinder system and 193 miles per hour.

The word flying could probably be associated with a car like this. If you remember the classic film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, you would recognize the car being a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. That mythical car may have not reached a wide audience as there were only about less than a hundred models made, but if you really want one of these valuable vehicles, you should know that a 250 GT in an automobile auction can cost a little over 10 million dollars.

Some car lovers still prefer the old models, and if you remember the car used in the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, you would recognize that as being a 250 GT. It was sold in an auction for almost 11 million dollars, so it would be quite obvious that the one used in the movie was just a replica.

The Ferrari likes to stick to a tried and tested formula, and then developing new innovation injected in most of their models. The new Ferrari California that was launched in 2008 still bears semblance to their older models, but owning one will not necessarily feel nostalgic at all. It’s a beautiful car with modern features and basic design, but in looking at the car’s performance, engine and other benefits, you would instantly know that such development can only come from a company like Ferrari.

If you’re trying to find a car that will truly impress, it may almost seem impossible to not have the Ferrari in the list of top three dream cars in the world. More than its design, they have focused more on what they can offer car enthusiasts without sacrificing its aesthetic value. Not being able to have spacious backseats seem to be less prioritized compared to the powerful engine and a speed like no other.

So you just got yourself a Ferrari. Before you start speeding off into the highway, you need to ask yourself if you are protected from any untoward accidents. Although we try to be as safe as we can when on the road, we can never predict what can happen.

So you just got yourself a Ferrari. Before you start speeding off into the highway, you need to ask yourself if you are protected from any untoward accidents. Although we try to be as safe as we can when on the road, we can never predict what can happen.

Aside from that, no matter how secure we are with our driving skills, we do not have a hold on the other drivers, and since we know that driving a Ferrari can get you second looks from fellow motorists, the last thing you want is to be a victim of reckless driving.

Finding the right auto insurance company for your Ferrari does not have to be difficult. There are several options for you that can give you comprehensive quotes and the best rates for your car. Aside from your house, your car is probably one of the biggest investments that you will ever make. Buying a Ferrari doesn’t come cheap! You don’t want to spend thousands of dollars just to see your vehicle being damaged and with no insurance.

Not being able to have the right car insurance for your Ferrari can put you in a tight bind. Not only is your elite car wrecked, you would also have to pay for hospital bills and medical checkups. The replacement of car parts and accessories can also be extremely costly and will create a dent on your budget.

It may also be advisable for you to find a company that specializes in collectible cars. There are auto insurance companies nowadays that cater to luxury cars, so you can also get great discounts. They offer lower rates if you are able to insure more than one vehicle, so this would be the best choice for you if you like collecting Ferraris and other rare or classic cars.

Aside from that, the gender as well as the age of the driver is also being looked at. As with most types of insurance, if the situation or the owner is exposed to greater risks, the insurance rates also increase. Different types of coverage plans will be offered depending on the amount of experience, driving record, age and other important factors that may be of influence.

Taking care of a car like a Ferrari is almost like having a child. You need to make sure that your prized possession is well taken care of, with regular oil changes and tune-ups. A comprehensive auto insurance plan will also help protect you from any financial setback in the event that you run into an unforeseen accident.

You will never get to predict when an unexpected situation may arise, and the most that you can do is to protect yourself by purchasing a specialized auto insurance plan that will fit your exact needs. By doing this, you do not need to worry about the expensive costs that may result from a vehicular accident. The insurance plan can cover a huge majority of it, making the situation a lot less stressful.

The Ferrari red is definitely an unmistakable color. It is known as the Rosso Corsa. It is a blazing color and truly a classic look. Moreover, there’s this outstanding black steed with a yellow background accented with the flag of Italy. For luxury cars, colors have been the most basic element of luxury. However, what makes the Ferrari what it is now? How did it become so popular?

An Italian named Enzo Ferrari put up a company named Scuderia Ferrari in the year 1929. The company was not built to design, manufacture and market luxury, sport and road cars. In essence, it was just a place that provided sponsorship to brokers of Modena and also for the enthusiasts with amateur cars. For a short while, Enzo Ferrari found success in racing cars for the Alfa Romeo drivers until he found out that Alfa Romeo wanted to buy out the Scuderia.

This forced Enzo Ferrari to play out a hand and make a few sacrifices to keep the company afloat. He had to finance the company right out of his own pocket and it proved to be quite difficult. In the end, he had to sell the S 125, the very first Ferrari, just to make money. It was the one thing he regretted so much. However, it wasn’t long after that the Scuderia flourished and the Ferrari established itself as one of the most known car brands.

Even with such success, Enzo Ferrari is still quite a purist at heart. Making business and profit were none of his concerns. He centered all his efforts in establishing luxury and prestige on all of his cars. This gave the Ferrari such a strong presence in the automobile industry, especially with its speed and design. It was very well received and took a nice niche on the market.

The Ferrari is known for its beauty and speed and it is testament to its longevity in the industry. It certainly has thrived and flourished throughout history. By far, the quickest Ferrari is the 2002 Enzo. It was designed by Pininfarina Designs and it is the single most aerodynamic car out in the market. It can reach top speeds with its racing and luxurious design.

It’s no wonder that the Ferrari Enzo found success in Formula 1 racing. It creates quite a powerful statement on the runway and it is featured on every exotic and fast sports car list. It is the complete package with its air circulation design and brake and engine cooling functions. In terms of efficiency, it won’t let you down and aerodynamic drag is eliminated as well.

Buyers were given the option to personalize and customize the Ferrari to fit to their needs and taste. This started with the Enzo. The Ferrari empire found its success with the focus on beauty and speed. Over the years, it has held true to its reputation. The automobile industry really just wouldn’t be the same without the Ferrari.

Ferrari has always been associated with elegance and speed. It is not only one of the most desirable vehicles to drive and own, but it is one of the ultimate status symbols in the world.

The origins of Ferrari started in 1929 in Modena, Italy, at Scuderia Ferrari, established by Enzo Ferrari. The term “Scuderia Ferrari” literally means “Ferrari Stable,” and, figuratively speaking, it means, “team Ferrari.” Enzo Ferrari started out as the racecar driver for another car company, Alfa Romeo. In 1939, he stopped racing when Alfa Romeo hired him to head its racing department. Ferrari resigned in 1940 when he heard plans of Alfa Romeo trying to take over his Scuberia. Upon his resignation, he put up Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari. This shop made and produced aircraft accessories as well as machine tools. Enzo Ferrari’s first racecar was produced during this period and he named it the Tipo 815. The Ferrari factory moved to Maranello, Italy in 1940 and remains there up to this day.

Ferrari’s first racecar models are very different to those that are in the market today. Eventually, the company shifted gears and transferred to the Gran Turismo market until this day. Originally, this sports car’s original color was yellow. Over the years, Ferrari painted its cars red, yellow, and black.

The first Ferrari racecar models introduced back then are quite different from those we see today. The company changed gears and concentrated on the Gran Turismo market in later years. Ferrari infiltrated the mid-engine 12-cylinder market starting with the Berlinetta Boxer. In the mid 1990s, the letter “F” was added before each of the car names. This was stopped after producing the F355 and the F512 models, but returned later on with the F430.

The F430 model started production in 2004 and is still currently being produced today. This model has a curved body with an aerodynamic design. It carries most of Ferrari’s trademarks like the rear taillights, interior vents, and the car’s name engraved in the driver’s side mirror. The front bumpers have large oval openings that can be seen in previous racing models such as the 156 “Sharknose” Formula One and the 250 TR 61 Le Mans. From the years 1987 to 1989, the F430 model was considered the world’s fastest street-legal production car, in spite of the fact that it did not have any traction control.

The most expensive and perhaps the fastest model to this date is the Ferrari F40. A successor to the Ferrari 288 GTO, this model has a mid-engine, three-wheel drive system. A two-door sports coupe car was produced in the years 1987-1992. This model was one of the first to use turbochargers and was considered the most expensive Ferrari car at that time.

Because of the increasing demand and popularity, Ferrari decided to establish his own production and manufacture company that focused on merchandise items such as pens, perfume, hi tech bicycles, and laptop computers, all bearing the Ferrari symbol, the “Cavallino Rampante”. This trademark or logo consists in a black prancing horse with a yellow background. At its foot are two letters: “S” and “F” which stands for “Scuderia Ferrari.” Because of its excellent craftsmanship, a Ferrari car is considered a work of art.
