Comments on What is the fastest new sports car coming out this year well 2009?
Dodge Challenger
Ford Mustang Shelby Gt
Ford GT
Chevy Corvette
Toyota Corolla…… JK haha
2009 Corvette ZR-1!
0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds!
The fastest production car in the world and verified by the Guinness Book of World Records is the Shelby SSC Ultimate Aero.
The fastest car coming out in 2009 as a NEW car would be the:
Ferrari California
Well…
Like someone already said, the SSC Ultimate Aero is the fastest street-legal production supercar in the world. It has 1,183 hp, does 0-60 in 2.78, has an estimated top speed of 270+ mph, etc. It costs around $650,000.
See more at http:www.shelbysupercars.com
Otherwise, you could use a Koenigsegg CCXR Edition (http://www.koenigsegg.com), which has over 1000 hp and has an estimated top speed of more than 250 and goes from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. The price for it is more than $2.205 million dollars. The other Koenigsegg models (such as the CCX, CCX Edition, and CCXR) are extremely fast also.
Thirdly, there is the famed Bugatti Veyron, which has a top speed of about 254 mph and accelelerates from 0-60 in about 2.4 seconds.
It costs around $1.7 million for the “base” model, and I’ve seen the “Pur Sang,” a special edition model, for $3.9 million.
The Bristol Fighter T is another very fast car with a claimed top speed of about 270 mph, but it’s electronically limited to 225, I believe.
Maybe that’s not exactly what you mean by “sort of rich,” so there is the Brabus Rocket (a tuned Mercedes-Benz CLS class which costs around $500k), which is the fastest production sedan in the world, the ‘09 Cadillac CTS-V, the fastest V8 production sedan (for around $66k), and many more.
I hope this helps. Best wishes with the book.
